Why this signature tool
🔒 Fully private
Your PDF and signature never leave your browser — nothing is uploaded. Ideal for contracts, agreements and anything confidential.
✍️ Upload or draw
Drop in a signature photo (its background is removed automatically) or draw one with your mouse, finger or Apple Pencil. Add a printed name and a stamp like “Approved”.
📄 No quality loss
The signature is placed as a layer on top of the page. The document's text, vectors and images are never rasterized — the original stays untouched.
How to add a signature to a PDF
- Create. Upload a signature image (background removed automatically) or draw it on the pad. Optionally add a printed name and stamp text.
- Style it. Set the name position, font, colour and the overall opacity — and save the signature to reuse later.
- Place. Open your PDF and drag, scale and rotate the signature. Choose the current page, selected pages, a range or all pages.
- Download. Apply to get a signed PDF; the original document is never changed.
Frequently asked questions
- How do I sign a PDF?
- Create a signature by uploading an image or drawing it, adjust its appearance, then open your PDF and drag the signature into place. Choose the current page, selected pages, a range or all pages, and download the signed PDF.
- Can it remove the white background from a signature photo?
- Yes. For a JPG or WebP with a light, roughly uniform background, the background is removed automatically and edges are de-fringed so no white halo remains. A sensitivity slider fine-tunes it; already-transparent PNGs are used as-is.
- Can I draw my signature?
- Yes. The drawing pad works with a mouse, touchscreen, stylus or Apple Pencil, with adjustable thickness and colour plus undo/redo. It's saved as a transparent image automatically.
- Does it change the PDF or reduce quality?
- No. The signature is added as a separate layer on top of the content. The page's text, vectors and images are never rasterized or altered, and the original document is left untouched.
- Is my document private?
- Completely. The whole tool runs in your browser — the PDF and your signature never leave your device.
- Can I reuse my signature later?
- Yes. Save several signatures (Personal, Work, Company Stamp…) locally in your browser and pick one next time. They're stored only on your device.
